Hair & Heels

Thursday, March 19, 2015

I get asked so much about my hair along with my makeup and outfit details so I thought "why not make a whole blog post dedicated to it?" So, let's get started. I have short, coarse and curly hair. I wear Bellami hair extensions a lot in photos. In the real world, I like having my hair short and embracing my curls. I went from black to blonde this past year and that can be very damaging to your hair.  So, I use argon oil, macadamia hair masks and coconut oil on my hair every week to keep it healthy. The way I blend my Bellami hair extensions with my short hair is by taking two sections, twisting and Bobbi pinning into place. Then, I apply the extensions until all my hair is blended together. For the "beachy waves" look, I use my Nume style 1" wand. My hair color is an ashy/beige balayage blonde and I go to a professional to get it done.

Candy Craze

Thursday, January 29, 2015

I love being able to have the freedom to do whatever I want with makeup. With this look I wanted to keep it fun and artistic with a 1960s feel. We made the eyes two different colors with some graphic liner that I decided to smoke out into the eyebrows. There is no rules when it comes to makeup. Grab some candy and lipstick and have some fun!

New Years Eve Makeup

Monday, December 29, 2014

When I was thinking of New Years Eve makeup I did not want to do a typical NYE look. I played off of Jenna's green eyes and did a shimmery smokey eye with a pop of color. This look is an easy look to achieve and you can play it up with glitter or leave it as a smokey eye. You can change the colors to suite your eye color. We played with silvers, plum, and black on the outer crease. This look would be pretty on all eye colors (especially green and brown) If you have blue eyes you can swap out the silver and purple for copper and bronze shades to make your eyes pop! Glamorous Bridal Makeup

Thursday, November 20, 2014

This was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been to. It was a fall wedding and outdoors with twinkly lights in the middle of North Georgia. The whole way there, I was humming the opening song to The Walking Dead, but the roads were way more beautiful and there was not any zombies incase you were wondering. I had the honor of doing Morgans makeup and hair for bridal formals and her wedding day. She wanted a glamorous makeup look to contrast her beautiful lace dress. I also did her mother's makeup, mother in law, and two bridesmaids. I love the way the photos came out and how lovely everyone looks. The makeup details are listed below for Morgans makeup.
