New Years Eve Makeup

Monday, December 29, 2014

When I was thinking of New Years Eve makeup I did not want to do a typical NYE look. I played off of Jenna's green eyes and did a shimmery smokey eye with a pop of color. This look is an easy look to achieve and you can play it up with glitter or leave it as a smokey eye. You can change the colors to suite your eye color. We played with silvers, plum, and black on the outer crease. This look would be pretty on all eye colors (especially green and brown) If you have blue eyes you can swap out the silver and purple for copper and bronze shades to make your eyes pop! Glamorous Bridal Makeup

Thursday, November 20, 2014

This was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been to. It was a fall wedding and outdoors with twinkly lights in the middle of North Georgia. The whole way there, I was humming the opening song to The Walking Dead, but the roads were way more beautiful and there was not any zombies incase you were wondering. I had the honor of doing Morgans makeup and hair for bridal formals and her wedding day. She wanted a glamorous makeup look to contrast her beautiful lace dress. I also did her mother's makeup, mother in law, and two bridesmaids. I love the way the photos came out and how lovely everyone looks. The makeup details are listed below for Morgans makeup.

Temptu Airbrush Foundation: This makes your skin look flawless and if you want to feel like you are not wearing foundation, this is for you!

Sephora Cream Lip Stain Everlasting Burgundy: I love this color it is a deep burgundy red and it last all day, even when you are eating!

Philosophy Tinsel Town Lip Shine: This lip gloss is very hydrating and looks pretty over any red shades. Not to mention it is minty and smells good on your lips!

Nars Albatross Highlighter: This highlighter is one of favorite highlighters of all time. It is a frosty golden shade, beautiful on most skin tones.

MAC loose pigment Copper Sparkle: I love this eyeshadow because it has subtle particles of bronze glitter in it, great for day or night.

Milani Fantastico Mauve blush: You can not go wrong with any blush from Milani. This blush is gorgeous for the holiday season. It has a little shimmer in it and is a flushed berry shade.

Butter London Old Blighty nail polish: I wear this nail polish shade around christmas almost every year. It is a satin finish and the perfect brick red.

21HMBoutique Necklace: I have a few necklaces from this company and I want to own every piece of jewelry they have. They are so beautiful and sturdy. They are gorgeous for the holiday season because their jewelry is so intricate and unique. This is definitely a statement necklace and I love it!

Galaxies and Glitter

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

One of my favorite parts of my job is being able to be creative and do something that I have never seen done. I had the pleasure of working with an amazing photographer J Alicia Jackson Photography. This photoshoot was based off a poem that my friend and model wrote about the universe. I loved that we all had a role in this photoshoot and we all had so much fun doing what we love.

"Did you know that bigger stars burn out faster than smaller stars do because the universe cannot hold them as long? And if stars live much, much longer than we do then maybe we die quicker because the universe cannot hold us. Maybe our souls burn brighter than all the brightest stars can, they burn heavier and so we burn out faster
And maybe it's beautiful that way" - Jenna Langmack
